Version 2.0.1 - Added Egypt, Jamaica, Montenegro, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates

Today we released version 2.0.1 of VAT Calculator. In this new version we added Egypt, Jamaica, Montenegro, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates as requested by our users.

Currently their VAT rates are:

• Egypt - 5 and 14%
• Jamaica - 16.5%
• Montenegro - 7 and 21%
• Saudi Arabia - 5% (in effect in January, 1st, 2018)
• United Arab Emirates - 5% (in effect in January, 1st, 2018)

We also updated the VAT rates in the following countries: (in effect in January, 1st, 2018)

• Norway - from 10% to 12%
• Switzerland - from 3.8% to 3.7% and from 8% to 7.7%
• Latvia - introducing a new rate of 5%

Version 2.0.0 - Added Maldives, Rwanda and Serbia

Today we released version 2.0.0 of VAT Calculator. In this new version we added Maldives, Rwanda and Serbia as requested by our users.

Currently their VAT rates are:

• Maldives - 6 and 12%
• Rwanda - 18%
• Serbia - 10 and 20%

In this version we also added a new icon and, in the Android version, a new theme. You can now choose between the Classic theme and a Material design version in blue.

We also introduced the ability to customize the intensity of the vibration. If your device supports vibration, you can now adjust its duration in a new option.

Taxes update - v20170701

We uploaded today v20170701 of taxes. This version updated the rates of India to the new GST that took effect on 1st of July 2017.

The new rates are 0.25 %, 3%, 5%, 12%, 18% and 28%.

If you want just the new GST rates to appear when you press the tax button, make sure that the "Filter taxes" option in the settings is enabled.

Taxes update - v20170605

Flag of Canadá (Saskatchewan) and Ecuador

We uploaded today v20170605 of taxes. This version updated the VAT rate of Ecuador to 12%, that took effect on 1st of June 2017. (Thanks to user that reported it)

It also updates the PST rate of Canada - Saskatchewan from 5% to 6%. The GST rate remains at 5%.

We uploaded today v20170104 of taxes. This version added the VAT rate of 9% and 19% in Algeria that took effect on 1st of January 2017.
