Version 1.4.3 released - Added Botswana and updated taxes in Czech Republic and Luxembourg

Today we launch another update to VAT Calculator. In this update we added a new country Bowstana.

Starting 1st January 2015 there will be changes in the VAT rates in Czech Republic and Luxembourg, The rate changes are:

• Czech Republic  - Added a new tax of 10%
• Luxembourg - Updated from 6% to 8%, 12% to 14% and 15% to 17%

Version 1.4.2 released - Added Australia, Colombia, New Zealand and Paraguay

We released today version 1.4.2 of VAT Calculator. We added four new countries with the help of our users. Thanks!!

The new countries and respective VAT/GST rates are:

• Australia - 10%
• Colombia - 4%, 5%, 8% and 16%
• New Zealand - 9% and 15%
• Paraguay - 5% and 10%

We also added a new rate of 4.5% to India.

Version 1.4.1 released - Added Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Zambia

Version 1.4.1 of VAT Calculator was released today in the Play Store. This new version includes three new countries (suggested by users - thanks)

• Cameroon - 19.25%
• Ivory Coast - 18 %
• Zambia - 16 %

We also introduced a new requested feature. You can now long press the button with the flag to alternate between "Custom" and the previously selected country.

Version 1.4.0 released - Updated Japan tax and added a new feature

Today we are releasing another update to VAT Calculator regarding the increase from 5% to 8% of the Consumption tax in Japan, starting tomorrow 1st of April 2014.

We also introduced a requested feature, the percent (%) sign. This sign, if enabled in the settings menu, replaces the (±) sign. This means that starting on this version you can now do calculations with percentage like in a normal calculator.

Lets say that you run a business and buy items from your supplier at 156,60 with a 20% VAT rate included, and you would like a 5% profit. Here is what you have to do:

• Select the VAT included screen and type 159,60
• In the VAT excluded screen you see the amount without taxes is 133,00. Now, you want to add to this amount (133,00) a 5% profit
• Select the VAT excluded screen and press plus (+) 5 (%)
• In the VAT included screen you have the selling price of the item - 167.58
   

Version 1.3.2 released - Added Belarus

Today we updated again VAT Calculator.

This release adds one new country to the list, Belarus and his VAT tax of 20%.

It includes also a correction to the digital font. We received a report from one user (thank you very much Štěpán) stating that the digital font was incorrectly misplaced in his device.

Version 1.3.2 released - Added Turkey

Today we released another version of VAT Calculator.

In this version we added Turkey to the list of supported countries. (thanks to the user that suggested it). Today the VAT rates in Turkey are:

• 1%
• 8%
• 18%

We also corrected a minor bug that caused VAT Calculator to crash.

Version 1.3.1 released - Added Japan and updated India tax

Another month, another release of VAT Calculator.

In this version, 1.3.1, we added the 14.5% tax to India (thanks to the user that suggested it). We also added Japan to the list, with a tax of 5%.

We introduced also improvements in the selection of the language inside the app - now when the language is selected the changes are immediate. There is another improvement regarding the option to keep the screen on. We hope that it is fixed now for all devices.

Version 1.3.0 released - Added Switzerland and France - Guadeloupe / Martinique / Reunion

Here is another version of VAT Calculator, version 1.3.0.

In this version we included Switzerland and Guadeloupe, Martinique and Reunion (Thanks to the users that suggested it). Their tax rates are:

• Switzerland - 2.5%, 3.8% and 8%
• Guadeloupe, Martinique and Reunion - 2.1% and 8.5%

This version also includes two new features. The option to select the in app language and the option to show only the taxes in effect.

Taking France as an example, on the left picture all taxes and dates of change are show. However in the right picture only the taxes in effect are shown .

Version 1.2.2 released - Updated Portugal (Azores) and India taxes. Cambodia and Russia added

Today we launch another update to VAT Calculator, regarding an update to Portugal (Azores) VAT taxes introduced in 1st January 2014. The new VAT rates are:

• Portugal (Azores) - 5%, 10% and 18%.

Due to user request we also added the 13% rate to India.

In this new version we added two more countries, Cambodia and Russia: Their tax rates as of today are:

We also corrected a bug introduced in version 1.2.0 regarding the decimal portion of the numbers. Do to the nature of the bug, we suggest that you update to this version as soon as possible.
