Version 1.6.0. - Added landscape mode and support for physical keyboards

In version 1.6.0. we also introduced the long waited landscape mode.

Also, if you work with a tablet, you probably have a hardware (physical) keyboard connected to it, either via bluetooth or via USB cable - in that case you can use VAT Calculator with your keyboard.

Version 1.6.0 - Added Nicaragua, Philippines and Moldova

Version 1.6.0 of VAT Calculator was just released in the Play Store. In this new version we added three new countries Nicaragua, Philippines and Moldova (suggested by our users - Thanks!!)

At the moment their current tax rates are:

• Nicaragua - 15%
• Philippines - 12%
• Moldova - 5%, 8% and 20%

We also updated the VAT rates of Portugal - Azores. Starting July 1st their rates are 4%, 9% and 18%.

As reported by users, the rates of Puerto Rico and Slovenia were wrong, and were also fixed.

Version 1.5.5 - Added El Salvador, Georgia and Kenya

Another update to VAT Calculator was released in the Play Store, version 1.5.5. In this update we included El Salvador, Georgia and Kenya.(suggested by users - Thanks!!)

Today their VAT rates are:

• El Salvador - 13%
• Georgia - 18%
• Kenya - 16%

We included also the "zero decimal" option in the Number format setting. This is usefull for countries that do not use cents in their calculations.

Version 1.5.4 - Added Malaysia

Today we launch another update to VAT Calculator, version 1.5.4. In this update we added Malaysia (thanks to the users that suggested it). Malaysia introduces today GST at the standard rate of 6%

Version 1.5.3 released

Today we released Version 1.5.3 of VAT Calculator.

This version includes several performance improvements as well as detecting your country based on your phone settings. It also includes some bug fixes.

Version 1.5.2 released - Added Canada, Puerto Rico and Singapore

Version 1.5.2 of VAT Calculator was just released in the Play Store. This new version includes three new countries, (suggested by users - Thanks) Canada, Puerto Rico and Singapore.

Regarding Canada we included all the ten provinces and three territories. Their PST/GST/HST rates are:

• Alberta - 5%
• British Columbia - 7% + 5% = 12%
• Manitoba - 8% + 5% = 13%
• New Brunswick - 8% + 5% = 13%
• Newfloundland and Labrador - 8% + 5% = 13%
• Northwest Territories - 5%
• Nunavut - 5%
• Nova Scotia - 10% + 5% = 15%
• Ontario - 8% + 5% = 13%
• Prince Edward Island - 9% + 5% = 14%
• Quebec - 9.975% + 5% = 14.975%
• Saskatchewan - 5% + 5% = 10%
• Yukon - 5%

Puerto Rico as of now has a tax rate of 7%, but starting April 1st, 2015 it will increase to 16%. You can have both taxes if you disable "Filter taxes" option in settings.

Finally, Singapore has a 7% GST rate.

Version 1.5.1 released - Added Grenada, Guyana, Macedonia and Peru

We released today version 1.5.1 of VAT Calculator. With the help  of our users we added four new countries. Thanks!!
